Air Force History
The Rhodesian Air Force spanned 46 years from 1934 to 1980. Thereafter, the country became Zimbabwe and the name of the Air Force followed suite to become the Air Force of Zimbabwe. Eight Squadrons were formed and were equipped with a variety of strike, close support, transport and helicopter aircraft.
